🌙 Elite Dangerous Dual Joystick Setup
Hey all, I'm new to Elite Dangerous and dual joysticks. I've looked up a lot of different bindings but I cant understand how the modifiers work? I was wondering if anyone with dual Thrustmaster T16000 could help me out?
For vjoy, when setting up both controllers remember to press add device on the second one and make sure the 1 and 2 at the top are green. when launching the game, first start ED from steam in vr mode, then while it's loading launch elite vr cockpit. If the menu and controllers appear in the wrong place like way under, which normally happens
That would be a neat addition. Though there are virtual joystick programs as well as dedicated software options. Thrustmaster just uses a virtual joystick setup that they designed themselves, for instance. VKB actually lets you change the firmware in the stick itself (which is just super convenient.)
CMDR Tannik (edit - u/sushi_cw) had an interesting dual joystick setup. I'd be tempted to try that out and use the pedals for yaw. I'd be tempted to try that out and use the pedals for yaw. There's only so many hands and feet you can use for things, so two complete HOTAS units - especially ones with so many buttons sounds a bit overkill to me
The configuration: My pit is primarily for space sims and DCS. Warthog HOTAS and Crosswinds are first and foremost used for DCS. Dual Sticks and T-Rudders are used for space sims. While every space sim is a bit different all of them let you control a spacecraft in six degrees of freedom, 6 DOF. My setup comes with a lot of redundancies.

Cody's settings for the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro: Cody uses this joystick with a keyboard. The precision toggle is not used because the axis profiles were set so as to no longer need it. Cody is an old timer who mastered Classic Elite before joining the Oolite boards over a decade ago. Axis 1 - roll (left/right arrows) Axis 2 - pitch (up/down
First is the keyboard mapping mentioned elsewhere. Never tried it, don't have any advice. Second is using Joystick Gremlin to split the device. Third is just accepting the limit, and using a more efficient button mapping. With 32 buttons and 4 POV hats, that's 48 buttons, which is pretty good for Elite's purposes.
I cant get those bindings to work as well. Cant select the controll profile. 1. Daniokki. • 2 yr. ago. you need to paste them on E:\StarCitizen\StarCitizen\LIVE\USER\Client\0\Controls\Mappings. then go to controls advanced and select the profile for each joystick. thy work great. 2.
I use. Left Stick = X lats, Y verts (inverted), Z fwd/back, Right Stick = X roll, Y pitch (inverted), Z yaw. The inverts are so pulling back on R = nose up, pulling back on L = ship up. The benefit of using the twist for fwd/back on left is that you retain equal scale movements on your verts/lats, rather than having the shorter-throw twist on
Configuration Guide. the flight stick for throttle works pretty well imo because it is at half throttle while at rest so it makes it super easy to decrease throttle just enough for maximum maneuverability. all the way forward is full thrust and all the way back is zero thrust.
I use dual T16000 but no pedals. Elite has an axis for throttle and another axis for forward/backwards thrust. I have the left joystick slider set for throttle (0 - +100%) with the left stick y-axis set for forward/backwards thrust (-100% - +100%). Both axis can be used together.
2) Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Elite Dangerous\Products\elite-dangerous-64\ControlSchemes Trick#1 So, rather than reprogram the SaitekX56.binds file from scratch, or allow it to create a "custom.binds" file and keep track of that one as well as backing it up, I decided to create a new binds for the SaitekX56 by using the "default" ControlScheme

T16000m works fine in all other Steam games, but not Elite Dangerous, and it's just the joystick by itself, not a HOTAS setup. It could be that Steam interferes with your joystick, not passing it to the game as it is. Open the game in the Steam Library. Click on the "Manage Game" button on the left.
